The shift

Polishing one email used to take seven small moves: copy your draft, open an AI chat tab, paste it in, ask for a rewrite, copy the answer, switch back, and paste it over the old text.

Now it's three, without leaving your email: press ⌘⇧U, pick Rephrase, accept.

One shortcut, two actions

Rephrase
For the email you're writing. A cleaner version of your draft streams into a small window. Accept pastes it over what you selected; if it's not what you meant, undo puts your words back exactly.
Explain
For the email you're reading. Select a word, an expression or a dense paragraph in a reply, and a plain-language explanation opens in the same small window, without leaving your inbox. Nothing is changed; copy it or dismiss it.

Rephrase or explain text in any app

Anywhere macOS or Windows lets you select text: Gmail and Outlook, Apple Mail, Slack and Teams, Word and Google Docs. Tiny Writer AI copies the selection, shows the result in a small window beside it, and pastes a rephrase back over the same spot — so it never matters which app is in front. And it works in any language: the answer comes back in the one you wrote in.

Questions

How fast is it?

Press ⌘⇧U, pick Rephrase, and the rewrite starts streaming into a small window beside your text in about a second. Accept pastes it over your selection, back in the app you were typing in.

Where does my text go?

The selected text is sent over HTTPS to the Tiny Writer AI backend, which forwards it to the language model and streams the result back. It isn't stored after the request finishes, and nothing else on your screen is read. The AI providers it's routed to have committed not to keep it or use it for training.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free one, so your daily requests can be counted. You sign in inside the app with your email address and a one-time code we send you: no password to make up, and no API key to create or pay for.

Which apps does it work in?

Any app on macOS or Windows with a normal text field — Gmail or any webmail in your browser, Outlook, Apple Mail, Slack, Teams, Word, Google Docs. It copies the selection and pastes the result back over it, so it doesn't matter which app is in front.

Which languages does it work in?

Any language. Rephrase and Explain both answer in the language of the text you selected — French stays French, Portuguese stays Portuguese — so there's nothing to switch or set.

What does it cost?

Free gives you 10 requests a day, shared by Rephrase and Explain, on up to about 500 words at a time, with no tones. Pro is $5.99 a month for 300 requests a day, up to about 1,300 words at a time, and 4 tones for Rephrase: Shorter, More polite, Firmer, and Friendlier. No card to start; you upgrade from inside the app.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Click the Tiny Writer AI icon in the menu bar, open Account, and choose Manage subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the month you've already paid for.

Is there a Windows version?

It's coming soon on the Windows Store. The flow will be the same as on the Mac, with Ctrl where the Mac uses ⌘: Ctrl⇧U opens the picker.
